Hybrid Team

In todays mature Oracle market, more clients are looking for a far more cost effective solution for the implementation or upgrade of their chosen Oracle Product than found using traditional methods. We have found that these customers often want to retain the control of the Project with an internal Programme and / or Project Manager driving the project and the Functional and Technical work performed by a mix of Employees and Contractors.

The problem with the latter is that often the Project Manager, albeit with excellent PM skills, has no Oracle Product specific capability. This can lead to inaccurate planning, in terms of the length and interdependencies for each phase and the processes and tasks which underpin each phase. Coupled with issues over resource allocation and utilisation, this model places the emphasis on the customer to deliver and has a far higher risk profile.

OracleContractors.com 'Hybrid Team' solution encompasses all the positives of traditional methods whilst dispelling the negatives. We integrate a number of Contractors - all sourced through our Resourcing Service, with the client PM and team, but we offer a level of Account Management that is far more sophisticated and involved than one would previously have expected.

We become involved prior to the Project Definition phase by holding a free of charge 'Insight Workshop' to understand in more detail the proposed project and the business environment. The Account Manager, who will be a Director from the local OracleContractors.com office and an experienced implementer of the relevant Oracle Products, will manage this workshop.

The deliverable is a Draft Project Plan highlighting at the detailed level the time lines and resources for an Implementation using a streamlined version of Oracle AIM or an Upgrade using EMM. Alongside is a detailed proposal resulting ultimately in a list of resources and the costs associated. These costs are in alignment with a typical Contractor engagement through an employment business as opposed to the typically inflated costs found using traditional methods.

But that is not where it stops, the Account Manager can assist you with any business case required and if selected as your partner, will alongside you; screen all prospective Contractors to ensure the optimum team is created. We will also chair a one day Project Kick Off meeting, again FOC and the Account Manager will support the client Project Manager from Project Definition, Operational Analysis, Solution Design and Build, Transition and Go Live.

We are involved in a variety of Projects globally from Greenfield Implementations through to Upgrades, of all shapes and sizes using this solution.

The result is a cost effective integrated team but assisted by a stakeholder within our business, thereby guaranteed accountability.
